Staff
Rebekah Millroy- Director
I am a mom of four, currently living in Slatington with my husband and kiddos plus two dogs, two cats, three Guinea pigs, seven chickens, and two hives of bees! I have been working with children in some capacity for over 20 years. Throughout my career I've worked with every age group in early childhood from infants to school age children. I earned an Associate's Degree in early Childhood Education from Northampton Community College. I enjoyed and embraced their arts-based approach. As a teacher, I loved to find ways to facilitate activities that engage the senses and help children learn through play!
I am just getting started in this new position but I have been working towards it for a long time! I have worked at Neffs since 2018 and in childcare since I was 15.
I am looking forward to continuing Neffs UCC Preschool's traditions of excellent care and education, as well as adding new and exciting ideas!
I am so pleased with our staff here at Neffs. They have been working hard to get our school ready for the upcoming year. I can't wait for all of our new kiddos and families to meet them!
Kimberly Anderson-Teacher Assistant for 3's and PreK
I’m excited to start my second year at Neff’s UCC Preschool as teacher assistant for the PreK class. I recently moved to South Whitehall with my husband and two children. I am an artist and received my degree from Moore College of Art and Design.. I have enjoyed coaching my kids t-ball team, volunteering at their school and being active in my daughters Girl Scout troop. This will be my fourth year working as a teacher assistant in a preschool setting. I love nurturing children’s creativity, and watching their unique personalities learn and grow throughout the school year. In my free time I enjoy camping with my family, watching home design shows, and working in my garden.
Bryanna Broadhead- Teacher for 4-year-olds, 3-year-old, and PreK
I am so excited to begin my second year here at Neffs Preschool! I graduated from LCCC with an Associates Degree in Early Childhood Education. In addition to teaching preschool, I also teach dance classes to children ages 18 months to 18 years old. I love getting to watch children learn and grow in a variety of ways! When I am not teaching, I love spending time with my family and finding a good book to read. I attended preschool here at Neffs and it positively impacted my view on education. I hope to have a lasting impact on my students just as my former teachers had on me!
Brenda Lynch- Teacher Assistant for 4-year-olds
I look forward to being back at school as a teacher assistant to the 4's. I live in Schnecksville with my husband and 2 children. Throughout my teaching career, I have taught preschool through 5th grade in Lehigh and Bucks Counties. My family also lived in Michigan for 19 years, where I taught 3rd, 4th, and 5th grades. I received my undergraduate degree from Millersville University and my Master's Degree from Kutztown University, both in Elementary Education. I am a 4-H leader for the Neffs Clovers 4-H Club and enjoy spending time with my family and gardening in my spare time.
Lifelong learning begins with this precious Preschool age, and I am so excited to be a part of your child's fun and excitement in learning.
Karen Speicher- Teacher Assistant for 4-year-olds
Now that I have officially retired after 33 years as Director of Operations for a local financial institution, I look forward to enjoying my 4th year at Neffs Preschool and starting a new adventure in the Three Year Old Preschool Class!
I reside in Whitehall with my husband, Bill. I have 2 grown married children and 2 wonderful and active grandsons, who call me "Gammy". I have had years of encouraging, nurturing, teaching life skills and just having fun as a Brownie Leader, Girl Scout Leader and CYO Volleyball Coach to many children from 1st through 8th grade. When my grandsons attended Neff's UCC Preschool Program, I volunteered for various activities for the years they were enrolled. I loved every minute of my time with all the children whose lives I have touched and helped nourish. I'm always excited to share in your child's adventures in learning, expressing their creativity and friendship.
I believe school should be a nurturing, safe, and fun place for all children. Our preschool welcomes all children, and we aim to make the preschool years a positive experience for the whole family. If you have any questions feel free to email [email protected] or call 610-767-5327. THANK YOU FOR JOINING US ON OUR LEARNING ADVENTURE!
